Other: During the first five years after I separated from service I had a nervous tick. It slowly went away. I am not sure if short-term memory loss is a symptom, but it has plagued me over these past fifteen or twenty years. I’ve had a problem with cysts since my early twenties. In 2003 I was diagnosed with skin cancer on my nose. Half of my nose was removed and it had to be reconstructed.
March of 2010 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. In April, my right kidney, adrenal gland and twenty-eight lymph nodes were removed. It appears that either one or two of the nodes showed signs of cancer. In September, 2010 a biopsy was performed on my right thyroid. It was found to have a large cyst present. In December, 2010, I was informed that the kidney cancer had metastasized and spread to both my lungs. I am stage four and will be starting an oral chemo med.
